Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Scratching the Surface's website or services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Description of Services

SCRATCHIN THE SURFACE LLC provides podcast content, consultancy services and workshop facilitation.

3. Booking Policies

3.1 Reservation Requirements

    All bookings must be made through our website or authorized channels. A valid payment method is required to confirm bookings. Bookings are confirmed only upon receipt of payment.

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

4.1 Standard Cancellations

    48+ hours notice: Full refund or credit. 24–48 hours notice: 50% refund or full credit for future booking. Less than 24 hours: No refund; credit may be issued at our discretion. No-shows: No refund or credit.

4.2 Rescheduling

Rescheduling requests made 24+ hours in advance will be accommodated subject to availability at no additional charge. Rescheduling within 24 hours may incur a $25 administrative fee.

5. Payment Terms

    All prices are in US dollars and subject to applicable taxes. Payment is due at the time of booking unless otherwise arranged. We accept major credit cards and approved payment methods.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SCRATCHIN THE SURFACE LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SCRATCHIN THE SURFACE LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of our services, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to our services at any time, with or without cause, including for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or conduct we deem harmful to our business, staff, or other clients. Upon termination, your right to use our services ceases immediately.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Los Angeles County, California, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits against SCRATCHIN THE SURFACE LLC.
